Job summary

Pillow Talk Australia in Mackay is looking for Christmas Casual Retail Sales Assistants to join our warm, knowledgeable team. You’ll help customers choose home essentials, demonstrate products, and create delightful shopping experiences during the busy season.

This is a maximum-term contract through 24 January 2027 with weekend availability, in-store training, and a generous staff discount as you grow with Australia’s home textiles specialist.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused approach with the ability to engage shoppers.

Responsibilities

• Unpack and display new Christmas stock and decorations.

Now is your opportunity to be part of Pillow Talk, by joining us in these highly exciting Christmas Casual Retail Sales Assistant roles at our Mackay store.

We are now looking for additional team members across the country to help us bring the Christmas spirit alive. Anyone can offer you a job at Christmas, but we’ve got something else in mind - JOY! It's not about how much you know about linen, homewares, or bedding (we can teach you that!), it’s about you, and your unwavering passion to delight every customer you engage!

• You’re full of personality and confidence, and can quickly develop interpersonal connections with customers and colleagues
• You have the ability to multitask and cope with changing priorities and all the curveballs that retail can throw at you
• You have great availability for work across the seven days of the week, and most importantly our busy weekends
• Great listening skills and problem-solving skills to help our customers find the perfect home gift idea for their loved ones... (comfort really is the gift that keeps on giving!)
• This role will be a maximum-term contract and therefore, you must be available from now until 24th January 2027
