Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern Territory in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a seasonal full-time driver to support Christmas Angel Tree and kettle operations. You will drive vans/non-DOT trucks to transport bell ringers, gifts, and donations, while maintaining vehicle safety and cleanliness.

Must have a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of driving experience, and a valid Texas driver's license. This role involves outdoor work and physical activity in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Drive vans to transport bells ringers to kettle work sites and to designated locations.

• Drive to homes, agencies, churches and other designated locations to pickup gifts and stockings for delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle inside and outside; operate safely in outdoor environments.

Job Location: TX-Northside Corps - Fort Worth, TX 76106, Position Type: Seasonal Full Time, Education Level: High School Diploma/GED, Job Category: Christmas, Job Summary:Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to assigned locations for Corps/Area Command Christmas Angel Treeprogram donations and gifts and/or Christmas Kettle program transportation of bell ringers to designatedworksites; ensures the safety, security and accountability of the vehicle and donations at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Drives vans to transport bells ringers to kettle work sites and picks up bell ringers at designated work siteback to Corps or Area Command locations.
• Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to and from assigned locations to pick up gifts and take to the Christmaswarehouse and/or Corps; organizes schedule pick-ups by most direct route to arrive at destinationsaccording to schedule.
• Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to homes, agencies, churches and any other designated location to pickup gifts, stockings, etc. for delivery to the Corps.
• Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to and from Drive-thru and/or drop-off events at Malls or otherassigned locations.
• Maintains cleanliness of truck and/or van inside and outside.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Ability to exert the physical energy required to performing duties given.
• Ability to perform general cleaning activities for building.
• Ability to safely transport employees in a van.
• Ability to perform all duties with an understanding of the mission, ministry, philosophy, culture, and protocol of The Salvation Army and conducts all duties in accordance with the ministry of the organization and its Christian principles; conducts all communications and job duties with the highest level of professionalism.
• Ability to perform continuous stooping, standing and climbing as well as lift and carry and/or push/pull moderate (25 – 50 lbs) and possibly heavy (50-100 lbs) materials and donations.
• Work is performed outside with exposure to changes in weather and outdoor conditions including dirt, dust and/or disagreeable sights and odors.
