The Salvation Army in Miami, FL is seeking a dedicated driver to support the annual Christmas program. You will operate a Salvation Army vehicle, pick up gifts from malls, homes, churches and agencies, and transport them to the Christmas warehouse.

You will load and unload donations, maintain the vehicle, and assist in warehouse tasks. A valid driver\'s license and at least two years of driving experience are required; the role involves lifting up to 100 lbs and working Monday through Friday.

Responsabilidades

• Drive Salvation Army vehicle to malls to pick up gifts and deliver to the Christmas warehouse.
• Drive to homes, agencies, churches to collect gifts and stockings for the warehouse.
• Load and unload gifts, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and assist in warehouse duties.
• Interact professionally with donors and store/home owners, representing the mission.
• Deliver kettles and ensure safety and security of donations and equipment.

Job Details: Job Location: FLA-Miami Area Command - Miami, FL 33142, Job Category: Christmas, Schedule/Hours: M – F 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (35 hours per week)

This position is responsible for:

• Drives Salvation Army vehicle to mall(s) to pick up gifts and take them to the Christmas warehouse.
• Responsible for driving to and from homes, agencies and churches to pick up gifts, stockings, etc.
• Loads and unloads gifts from the vehicle to the warehouse.
• Operates the vehicle in compliance with established Salvation Army standards and State driving regulations; lifts, carries, loads and unloads Christmas donations, gifts, stocks, etc.; ensures the safety, security and accountability of the vehicle and donations at all times; drives kettle workers to and from kettle locations; assists in performing work at the Christmas warehouse and center as requested.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive Salvation Army vehicle to and from malls to pick up gifts and take to the Christmas warehouse, organizing scheduling pick-ups by most direct route to arrive at destinations according to schedule.
• Drives Salvation Army vehicle to homes, agencies, churches and any other designated location to pick up gifts, stockings, etc. to take to the Christmas warehouse.
• Interacts with donors and store/home owners as necessary and in a professional manner that represents the mission of The Salvation Army.
• Delivers bell-ringers and/or kettles to locations daily; picks up same at end of day; returns to kettle locations as necessary/directed throughout the day to pick up full and/or drop off empty kettles.
• Maintains cleanliness of Salvation Army vehicle inside and outside.
• Assist with janitorial work in the Christmas warehouse as needed.
• Assist with routing of traffic when necessary at the Christmas Center as requested.
• Assist with setting up trees, tables and stands for Christmas display and disassembling at the end of the Christmas Season.
• Perform other related work as required.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to read and communicate the English language.
• Ability to operate commercial equipment.
• Ability to exert the physical energy required to performing duties given.
• Ability to perform continuous stooping, standing and climbing as well as lift and carry and/or push/pull moderate (25 – 50 lbs) and possibly heavy (50-100 lbs) materials and donations.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:
