Job summary

Mountain Mission School in Grundy, Virginia seeks Christian teachers to join its ministry, teaching in a Christ-centered home, school and church environment and providing residential care.

Ideal candidates are committed followers of Christ with a bachelor's degree; teaching English, Math, or Science is preferred; ACSI certification or state licensure is preferred; candidates with a heart for missions are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Education degree, ACSI certification, or state teaching license preferred.
• Experience working with students required.
• Strong communication, organization, planning, and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes in alignment with MMS curriculum and goals.
• Create a classroom environment supporting spiritual, academic, emotional, and social growth.
• Develop lesson plans, integrate biblical worldview, and assess student progress.
• Establish Christ-centered relationships with students and supervise activities.
• Provide residential hall parent responsibilities and daily care.
• Collaborate with faculty and participate in staff meetings and ministry activities.
