The Mentoring Alliance seeks a Christian After School Counselor to foster youth development in an after school setting, leading elementary students in enrichment activities.

This part-time, non-exempt role runs approximately 17–20 hours per week, Monday through Friday 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m., in a Christian ministry environment.

Ideal candidates will be 17+, with a HS diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid certification underway, and a heart for mentoring kids and families.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Some post-secondary training highly preferred.
• Must pass mandatory background/sex offender check.
• Must have a valid driver’s license or ID.
• Legally allowed to work in the United States.

Responsabilités

• Lead elementary students in enrichment activities after school.
• Support youth development in a Christian ministry setting.
• Attend Monday–Friday schedule from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Be a role model and minister of the Gospel to kids and families.

Christian After School Counselor

We are seeking ministry-minded individuals to be on our After School team. The Christian After School Counselor’s primary role is fostering youth development in an after school setting by leading elementary students in enrichment activities. We are looking for an Christian After School Counselor who is devoted to excellence, wholeheartedness, and developing kids to reach their full potential! You have the chance to have an eternal impact and be a role model to kids in your community. A Christian After School Counselor is non-exempt, part-time position that average 17-20 hours per week.

At Mentoring Alliance After School, we hire teachers, youth workers, teen workers, college students, mentors and more to serve and develop kids in our programs. As a Christian ministry we are geared toward serving kids and students in our community by offering awesome after school care and activities.

Mentoring Alliance exists to mobilize godly people into the lives of kids and families, to provide tangible help and eternal hope. Our team members must have the desire to influence, impact and serve the kids and families in our community. Why? KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith
• Must be at least 17 years of age; High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred and some post-secondary training highly preferred
• Have a passion and love for working with elementary school-aged children
• Experience working with elementary school-aged children is preferred
• Able to work Monday - Friday 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year
• Ability to earn CPR/First Aid certification (mandatory)
• Pass Mandatory Background/Sex offender check
• Valid driver’s license or Valid ID
• Legally allowed to work in the United States
• Have dependable transportation
• Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued
