City Union Mission seeks a Support Specialist to model Christ-centered hospitality and lead day-to-day operations within the center. You will care for guests, uphold center routines, and ensure a safe, orderly environment during your shift.

The role emphasizes mentorship, accountability, and practical life-skills coaching, with shifts that may include evenings, overnights, and weekends, plus differential pay for late-night hours as described.

Qualifications

• Must be a genuine believer in the Lord Jesus Christ with ability to share the Gospel when opportunities arise.
• Live a Biblical lifestyle consistent with our ministry.
• Member in good standing of a Protestant, evangelical church.
• Dedicated to serving the poor and homeless per City Union Mission's mission.
• Sober-minded, free from alcohol, drugs, or any substance that could cloud judgment.

Responsibilities

• Lead guests during assigned shifts by communicating center routines, expectations, and guidelines to ensure accountability.
• Provide verbal and documented observations to center leadership for recovery planning and progression tracking.
• Maintain safety and security of the facility by conducting safety checks and monitoring access points.
• Supervise participants in daily cleaning and building stewardship to teach accountability and life skills.
• Manage linen, clothing, and supply systems to ensure readiness and organization.
