Job summary

Lake Mead Christian Academy (LMCA) is seeking a mature Christian educator to teach middle school (grades 7 & 8) with a Christ-centered approach. The role emphasizes scripture integration, classroom management, assessments, and parent communication.

The typical day runs 7:15 AM–3:30 PM with 6 class periods and after-school activities; teachers will plan 2–3 subjects weekly, align to approved textbooks, and participate in weekly chapels and potential discipleship groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education or a related field from an accredited college.
• ACSI certification preferred; if not currently certified, certification must be obtained by the end of the first semester of employment.
• Prior teaching experience required if teaching grades 7 and/or 8.
• Experience integrating Scripture into instruction and Christ-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates deep knowledge of the subject matter and ability to connect the Bible to daily lessons.
• Differentiates instruction to meet diverse learning needs and accommodate various learning styles.
• Demonstrates strong leadership and classroom management to promote a safe, engaging environment.
• Communicates regularly with parents about student progress and needs.
