Job summary

King’s Way Christian Schools in Vancouver, WA is seeking substitute teachers to join our on-call pool. Responsibilities include delivering lessons from prepared plans, ensuring student safety, and maintaining classroom discipline.

Qualifications

Ability to communicate with students, parents and staff to convey assignments and day's agenda.
Excellent customer service skills and ability to maintain cooperative relationships with peers, parents and students.

Responsibilities

Teach classes from prepared lesson plans and follow plans as closely as possible.
Oversee learning and safety of students; maintain positive classroom management.
Communicate with building office, principals, and teaching peers as necessary.
Review emergency information and procedures; manage attendance and sign in/out.
Leave detailed notes for the day’s outcomes and any issues; model King’s Way values.
