Job summary

Southeastern University seeks passionate elementary educators to serve as Teacher Assistants in the RSG Early Childhood Center at Lakeland. The role supports nursery and preschool classrooms, assisting lead teachers with daily activities, safety, and documentation.

Candidates should have a High School/GED, 3+ years in an early childhood setting, and be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid and Florida staff credentials.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an early childhood classroom.
• Experience implementing Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards in a classroom setting.
• Experience with Charlotte Mason, Classical Education, Reggio Emilia, Montessori, or nature-based learning approaches.
• Experience with parent engagement and child assessment tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily instruction and care for children using best practices from Charlotte Mason and Classical education models.
• Foster a Christ-centered classroom environment emphasizing virtue, wonder, and discovery.
• Communicate effectively with parents to support learning and child development.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom in line with state licensing standards.
