Job summary

Prestonwood Christian School in Prosper, TX is seeking a part-time After School Care Staff member to provide a safe, welcoming environment for students after school.

You will supervise students, assist with activities and homework, and help with check-in, dismissal, and transitions while upholding the school's Christian mission and standards.

This is a flexible, hourly role with schedule variations according to enrollment and program needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with children or students preferred.
• Ability to supervise groups of varying ages.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and flexible, able to work with others.
• Must complete background checks, training, and employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide active supervision of students at all times.
• Maintain a safe, Christ-centered environment for students.
• Assist with check-in, dismissal, and authorized pick-up procedures.
• Lead or assist with age-appropriate activities, games, crafts, recreation, and enrichment opportunities.
• Supervise homework and designated quiet or study periods.
• Monitor student behavior and reinforce school expectations.
• Assist students during transitions between classrooms, playgrounds, and campus locations.
• Help maintain accurate student attendance and accountability in the afternoon.
• Communicate student concerns promptly to program leadership.
• Interact with parents, students, faculty, and staff professionally.
• Assist with setup, cleanup, and organization of spaces and materials.
• Follow school policies on safety, confidentiality, and conduct.
• Attend required training and meetings as assigned.
