Job summary

St. Anne’s-Belfield School in Charlottesville, VA, seeks an experienced choreographer for its Upper School production of Disney's FROZEN. You will develop and teach choreography for about 9 musical numbers and collaborate with the director and production team to realize the show’s vision.

The role involves working with students of varying skill levels, providing feedback, and fostering a positive, inclusive rehearsal environment from 11/9/26 to 2/10/27.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a variety of dance styles (musical theater, contemporary, jazz, etc.).
• Proven experience working with students, preferably in a theatrical or educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to professionalism and kindness.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach choreography for approximately 9 musical numbers in FROZEN; numbers include Let the Sun Shine On, For the First Time in Forever, Dangerous to Dream, In Summer, Hygge, Finale.
• Support/collaborate with the Director's blocking with choreography sections in approximately 5-6 other numbers.
• Collaborate with the Director and production team to align choreography with the show’s vision.
• Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages students to explore their dance skills.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to students, promoting growth and confidence in performances.
