Vanguard Voices of Dearborn invites a dynamic Artistic Director to lead the chorus, select repertoire, and conduct weekly rehearsals on Thursdays. The role includes auditioning new members and shaping a program with two concerts per session.

As an independent contracted employee of the City of Dearborn Parks and Recreation Department, the director will work with the Board to plan concerts, manage the music library, and coordinate travel where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Choral Conducting or related field.
• Experience conducting advanced SATB choral ensembles.
• Strong knowledge of choral pedagogy, diction, and ensemble musicianship.
• Proven ability to rehearse efficiently and meet high artistic standards.
• Experience programming diverse repertoire (classical, contemporary, multicultural).
• Excellent score study and conducting skills.
• Experience auditioning and evaluating singers.
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to inspire singers while maintaining musical excellence.
• Collaboration with accompanists, instrumentalists, and guest artists.

Responsabilités
