Job description

Build the Strength Behind Every Spa.

Before someone relaxes in a MasterSpas hot tub…

Before a family gathers around it…

Before it ever leaves our factory…

Someone has to build the strength that lasts for years.

That's where the Chop Gun Operator comes in.

This isn't just spraying fiberglass and resin. It's creating the foundation of every spa we build. Every layer you apply helps determine the strength, durability, and quality that thousands of customers will rely on for years to come.

If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in doing things the right way, and believe quality matters even when no one sees it, this could be the role for you.

What You'll Do

As a Chop Gun Operator, you'll play one of the most important roles in the manufacturing process—building spa shells that are engineered to last.

Build It Right the First Time
  • Operate chop gun equipment to apply fiberglass and resin to spa shells.
  • Ensure every shell receives the correct laminate thickness for long‑lasting strength.
  • Follow established production processes that deliver consistent, high‑quality results.
  • Help eliminate air pockets and ensure materials bond properly to create a durable finished product.
Protect Our Quality
  • Follow work instructions and quality standards with precision.
  • Inspect your work and verify laminate thickness throughout production.
  • Stay focused on the details because every layer matters.
  • Take ownership of building products you'd be proud to put your name on.
Keep Production Moving
  • Work closely with your teammates to maintain a steady production flow.
  • Prepare materials and equipment for the next production cycle.
  • Assist with rolling, patching, mixing materials, and other lamination tasks as needed.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency without sacrificing quality.
Care for Your Equipment
  • Clean and maintain chop gun equipment throughout the day.
  • Handle fiberglass, resin, and other materials safely and responsibly.
  • Leave your work area ready for the next shift because great teams look out for each other.
What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys physical work, follows processes well, and takes pride in producing quality work every single day.

You’ll Likely Be Successful If You
  • Enjoy hands‑on manufacturing work.
  • Have strong attention to detail.
  • Like following proven processes and doing things consistently.
  • Work well as part of a team.
  • Can stay focused during repetitive tasks without sacrificing quality.
  • Are dependable and committed to showing up ready to work.
  • Have experience with fiberglass, resin, industrial equipment, or manufacturing—or you're excited to learn.
What Sets You Up For Success

The best Chop Gun Operators understand something important: Nobody notices great lamination… until it's missing.

The People Who Thrive In This Role Are
  • Detail‑oriented and process‑driven.
  • Safety‑focused in everything they do.
  • Mechanically inclined and eager to learn.
  • Reliable teammates others can count on.
  • Quality‑minded, even when the work is repetitive.
  • Proud of building products that will last for years.
What You Can Expect

This is a role where your craftsmanship makes a real difference.

You’ll Enjoy
  • Learning specialized manufacturing skills that are valuable and in demand.
  • A team environment where everyone works toward the same goal.
  • Clear opportunities to grow through skill levels and increased pay as your experience grows.
  • Work that challenges you physically and mentally while allowing you to see the results of your effort every day.
  • A stable, growing company that’s been helping people Live Life Better for nearly 30 years.
  • Comprehensive benefits, health insurance, paid holidays, a 401(k) with company match, professional development opportunities, and employee discounts.
