Job summary

Mountain Mission School is seeking a Choir Director / Music Teacher to lead the student choir and support K–7 music electives, while also serving as a residential hall parent. The role is rooted in Christ-centered education and involves ministry through music and daily care.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, musical ability, experience with students, and a heart to serve in a Christ-centered setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in music, education, ministry, or related field.
• Ability to read music and conduct a choir.
• Experience teaching or working with students in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Teach high school choir during the school day and support K–7 music electives.
• Lead and coordinate choir travel and ministry representation, including budgets and logistics.
• Provide residential hall parent support, care, and discipline in a Christ-centered home life.
• Foster a classroom culture reflecting Christian character, excellence, encouragement and respect.
• Integrate biblical worldview into music instruction and student formation.
• Maintain records and communicate with MMS staff, families, and leadership.
