Join Our Team as a Chocolatier - OYM Chocolatiers (Part-Time)

On Your Mark, Inc is seeking a dedicated Chocolatier to assist in daily shop operations, including preparing confections, teaching vocational skills, and maintaining shop quality and safety. This role involves producing chocolates, fulfilling orders, restocking, monitoring inventory, and ensuring a clean working environment. The position supports our mission to provide community-based services to individuals with disabilities, emphasizing safety, satisfaction, and quality of care.

Responsibilities
  • Intervene and report incidents of abuse or neglect immediately.
  • Implement activity plans for individuals at the shop.
  • Estimate and order supplies, check quality upon delivery.
  • Prepare confections and assist in recipe creation.
  • Maintain food safety procedures and operate machinery safely.
  • Handle customer complaints and record sales accurately.
  • Attend training sessions and maintain certifications.
  • Keep the shop organized and inform management of absences.
  • Respond professionally to all stakeholders and carry out additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Knowledge of intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work independently.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: 1+ year experience working with individuals with disabilities and in a business setting.
  • Experience with chocolate-making tools and machinery is a plus.
Requirements
  • New York State Food Handlers License.
Reporting To

Director of Employment Initiatives, Senior Director of Programs, or the Executive Team.
