CHMC-Sleep Lab-Sleep Technician – Part Time-Night Shift-7:30p-5:30a (10-hour shift)- Req 8629

Pay Grade: $30.96-$36.78*+ Please see the licenses and certifications required prior to applying

A Sleep Technician is responsible for reviewing study protocols and providing explanations of procedures to patients of sleep studies. Prepares patient appropriately and safely for sleep study and monitors patient throughout the study, observing for cardiac rhythm and respiration abnormalities. The Sleep Technician reports to the RPSGT who reads the studies.

EDUCATION:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Must be BLS certified

  • Must be enrolled in or have completed the A-STEP Online Self Study Modules. Non-registered Technologists and technicians must complete A-STEP Online Self Study Modules within Two (2) years of enrollment; OR

  • Must be enrolled in or have completed training in polysomnography in a program accredited by the Commission of Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) program with the polysomnography option.

  • Must complete Adult Rhythm Learn

TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • Polysomnographic Technologist or six (6) months of experience with direct patient care.

*The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
