Job Title: Med Surg Nursing Attendant – Per Diem – Day Shift (7:00 am - 7:30 pm) – Requisition 8515

Pay Range:

  • Certified Nursing Attendant (Grade 7): $18.33 - $23.47 +
  • Nursing Attendant (Grade 6): $17.84 - $22.09 +

Note: This rate does not include the per diem differential of $1.25.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide basic patient care, including personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, and other personal care in an acute care setting, as delegated and supervised by a Registered Nurse or LPN.
  • Implement specific procedures and programs, coordinate work within and among departments, report pertinent information to supervisors, respond to inquiries, and assist with departmental tasks.
  • May be required to float to other departments based on operational needs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment while delivering high-quality customer service to patients and families.
Qualifications:
  • NY State Nursing Attendant Certification (C.N.A.)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • BLS certification and PMCS within orientation period
  • Knowledge of growth & development across the lifespan and ability to individualize care plans
Physical Requirements:
  • Bending, lifting, standing, walking
