Pay Range:
Certified Nursing Attendant (Grade 7) $18.33-$23.47*+
Nursing Attendant (Grade 6) $17.84-$22.09*+

Provides basic patient care such as, personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support or other personal care, in an acute care setting, as delegated and supervised by a Registered Nurse or LPN. Responsible for implementing specific procedures and programs, coordinating work within and among other departments, reporting pertinent information to immediate supervisor, responding to inquiries or requests for information, and assisting immediate supervisor with tasks which support departmental operations. Certified Nursing Attendants may be required to float to other departments as directed by management, depending on operational needs. Will maintain a safe and clean environment while providing the highest level of customer service to both the patients and families.
Qualifications: N.Y.S. Nursing Attendant Certification (C.N.A.), and high school graduate or equivalent. BLS certification and PMCS within orientation period. Knowledge of growth & development across the life span and the ability to use that knowledge to individualize the plan and delivery of care.
