JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for caring for patients with health problems of the neuromusculoskeletal system, which includes nerves, bones, muscles, ligaments, and tendons by using spinal adjustments, manipulation, and other techniques to manage patients' health concerns.

ACCOUNTABLE TO: Chief Medical Officer

JOB DUTIES:Responsible for caring for patients with health problems of the neuromusculoskeletal system, which includes nerves, bones, muscles, ligaments, and tendons by using spinal adjustments, manipulation, and other techniques to manage patients' health concerns, including the following:

  • Responsible for providing all services in a manner that meets or exceeds the community standard of practice and ethical requirements of the medical profession.
  • All related travel, record keeping, charting and other services related to the services described above (hereinafter referred to as “Medical Services”).
  • Responsible for providing chiropracticservices to various facilities such as clinics and residential board and care facilities as assigned.
  • Responsible for complying with all policies, standards, and regulations of CCCHC and all governmental or medical regulatory authorities having jurisdiction over employee’s and/or employer’s practice of chiropractic.
  • Responsible for assessing a patient's medical condition by reviewing their medical history, listening to the patient's concerns, and performing a physical examination
  • Analyze the patient's posture, spine, and reflexes
  • Conduct tests, including evaluating a patient's posture and recommending to the PTP if imaging studies are needed, as well as reviewing x-ray and other imaging reports.
  • Responsible for identifying health problems.
  • Responsible for provide neuromusculoskeletal therapy, which involves adjusting a patient's spinal column and other joints by hand or with instrumentation,as needed.
  • Responsible for providing other additional treatments as needed, including use of modalities and procedures, such as applying heat or cold to a patient's injured areas.
  • Responsible for advising patients on health and lifestyle issues, such as exercise, nutrition, and sleep habits
  • Responsible for recommending to PTP the referral of patients to other health care professionals, if needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of patient information and records in accordance with applicable state and federal laws, as well as in compliance with CCCHC policy.
  • Responsible for utilizing the medical forms and records provided by CCCHC, which shall remain the property of CCCHC
  • Responsible for providing in-service education of staff.
  • Complete reports and appropriate documentation, including billing and medical records, in a timely manner.
  • Consistently demonstrate and uphold CCCHC’s principle of providing quality health and human services to the medically underserved and low-income populations in a culturally sensitive manner.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Reliable transportation, automobile insurance, and current CA Driver License.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree required.
  • Licensed by the State of California Board of Chiropractors
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

Working Conditions

Normal clinic environment with:

  • Walking and standing for extended periods of time,
  • Reaching, twisting, stooping, visual acuity corrected to normal range, hand-eye coordination, grasping with fingers, hearing within normal range, sense of touch, gripping tightly required for operation of tests and measures and performance of other essential functions.
