Job summary

Excelsia Injury Care is hiring a PT aide to assist patients before and after care, take vitals, and document progress. You will help with modalities, maintain treatment areas, and support front office operations across multiple locations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and state certification or active enrollment with clinical hours, with bilingual Spanish-English being a plus. A stable benefits package accompanies the position.

Qualifications

• State Certification required or enrollment in approved program with 20 observation hours and 520 clinical hours to become certified within 1 year.
• 1 year of office experience in physical therapy or chiropractic care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients pre and post care as directed by the DC.
• Take vital signs and document progress notes.
• Perform modalities as directed and maintain equipment and rooms.
• Support front office tasks including filing, chart prep, registration, and phone coverage.
• Travel to other locations to provide coverage as needed.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.

Job Duties

• Assist patients pre and post care by the D.C.
• Take vital signs of patients.
• Perform physical therapy modalities as directed by the D.C.
• Accurately and legibly document modalities performed and subjective patient comments on progress notes.
• Maintain cleanliness of exam and treatment rooms at all times.
• Monitor controls on physical therapy equipment.
• Launder towels, gowns, heat pack covers, etc. as required.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies.
• Assist in general office operations as needed including filing, prepping charts, answering phones, patient registration, posting charges, scanning, cleaning, etc.
• Travels to other locations as directed to maintain adequate coverage for quality patient care.
• Assist in maintaining office in neat, clean and orderly fashion.
• Perform other duties and assignments as directed and/or as necessary.
• Preferred candidates for this role are bilingual in Spanish and English.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• State Certification or enrollment in an approved course of study to include 20 observation hours and 520 clinical hours of in‑office training to become State Certified within one year of employment.

Additional Skills/Competencies

• Certification in CPR and/or First Aid. Must be maintained throughout employment.
• 1‑year experience in office providing physical therapy and/or chiropractic care.
• Tact and skill in patient management.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively interact with doctors, patients, and co‑workers.

Physical/Mental Requirements

Sitting, standing, walking, reaching above shoulder length, working with body bent over at waist, working in kneeling position, crawling, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, working with arms extended at shoulder length, lifting maximum of 20 lbs.
