Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Chiropractic Assistant (CA) to join our team. The CA provides both clinical and administrative support under the direct supervision of a licensed Chiropractor in accordance with Maryland regulations. This role plays a vital part in maintaining clinic flow, ensuring compliance, and delivering an exceptional patient experience. No licensure required. We welcome both experienced Chiropractic Assistants and individuals interested in being trained for the role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clinical Support
• Prepare patients for treatment
• Assist with proper patient positioning during chiropractic care
• Apply therapeutic modalities (E-stim, ultrasound, heat/cold therapy, traction as delegated)
• Guide patients through prescribed exercises
• Monitor patient comfort and report changes
• Maintain clean, organized treatment areas
• Front Desk & Administrative Support
• Register new patients and verify demographic information
• Verify insurance and collect referrals when required
• Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars
• Collect co-pays and process payments
• Support billing documentation
• Assist with KPI tracking and supply management

All clinical duties are performed under the direct supervision of a licensed Chiropractor.

Minimum Qualifications:

• We welcome applicants who are not currently licensed as Chiropractic Assistants in Maryland but are eager to grow in a clinical healthcare environment.
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to work under the direct supervision of a licensed Chiropractor in accordance with Maryland regulations
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Willingness to complete structured on-the-job training for delegated clinical duties
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire
• Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)

Preferred Qualifications:

While not required, the following qualifications are strongly preferred:

• Active Maryland Chiropractic Assistant (CA) license (if applicable under current Maryland Board requirements)
• Prior experience in a chiropractic, physical therapy, or medical office setting
• Experienced in handling multiple insurance plans, including eligibility verification, benefits interpretation, and authorization processes
• Familiarity with EMR systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
