Job summary

Commerce Casino is seeking a Count Clerk to tally chips, record counts, and reconcile with teammates, while maintaining security of drop boxes and the Count Room. The role involves interaction with Cage staff, accurate counting, and timely reporting during tournaments and peak periods.

Requires 6 months of cash handling experience, a High School Diploma or equivalent, strong math and handwriting skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Schedules are 24/7 with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 6 months of cash handling experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent math skills, legible handwriting, hand dexterity. attendance and punctuality essential.

Responsibilities

• Counts all chips in each set of collection boxes.
• Records accurate count of each box onto count sheets and reconciles amount with another count team member.
• Performs count in a timely manner according to schedule.
• Informs Count Team Supervisor of any inaccuracies or problems.
• Sells chips to the Cage.
• Assists casino personnel with various collection boxes.
• Ensures that all collection boxes are secured and accounted for.
• Maintains security of the Count Room, drop boxes, and drop box keys while on shift.
• Frequently lifts and carries up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally pushes and pulls up to 50 pounds.
• Washes all racks and chips.
• Collection of chip racks from floor.
• Performs all other work-related duties as assigned by the Count Team Supervisor.
• Must be able to work a full-time schedule during tournaments and other peak business periods.
• Must be able to work overtime, as business needs require, with or without advance notice.
