Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer SME to provide technical leadership for the Chinook Program, shaping architecture and modernization strategies. You will monitor and troubleshoot enterprise systems, mentor engineers, and interact with end users and government managers.

You will lead cross-functional teams in Agile/DevSecOps environments, drive technical excellence, and align solutions with mission objectives across multiple locations, including Englewood, CO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 12–15 years of relevant experience or Master’s with 10–13 years of relevant experience.
• 12+ years of progressive systems engineering experience supporting software-intensive or enterprise systems.
• Experience leading technical teams and influencing engineering strategy.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead and systems engineering authority for the customer application.
• Define system architecture, engineering standards, and modernization strategies.
• Manage and maintain cloud-based application systems for high availability and performance.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
• Evaluate opportunities for AI tools in troubleshooting and system monitoring.
• Lead requirements analysis, system design, integration, verification, and validation.
• Guide technical decision making across cross-functional teams.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions.
• Lead risk identification, mitigation planning, and trade studies.
• Mentor systems engineers and promote engineering best practices.
