Job summary

NSA is seeking Language Analysts (MDLAs) to support SIGINT missions at NSA's Hawaii/Kunia, MD/VA/Draper locations. The role emphasizes CHINESE reading/listening proficiency, analytical writing, and collaboration with IC partners.

The position features a development path (LADP) or direct hire, with multiple duty locations and a focus on translating, transcribing, and analyzing foreign language materials. A strong emphasis on problem solving and delivering timely insights is required.

Qualifications

• Proficient reading and listening in CHINESE (ILR 2/2) for the target language.
• Entry/Developmental requires HS diploma with 4 yrs relevant exp or assoc degree with 2 yrs or BA with no exp; Full Performance requires higher experience/education as listed.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, transcribe, translate foreign language materials for SIGINT mission.
• Engage with partners, enablers, and customers across the IC.
• Provide written and oral assessments and research support.
• Mentor, coach, and lead other Language Analysts as applicable.
• Ensure the technical health of the mission and use internal tools.
