Job summary

NSA/CSS seeks a Language Analyst with strong Chinese language skills to translate, transcribe, and analyze foreign language materials for SIGINT operations. You will work with partners and customers, apply analytic methods, and contribute to mission outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires ILR 2/2 reading/listening, a degree, and relevant experience; security clearances and testing are part of the process. This position is full-time and on-site, with standard government work hours.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Chinese at ILR level 2/2 or higher for reading and listening.
• Minimum degree requirement; education can be in any field with relevant experience.
• Candidates should have at least 1 year of relevant work in language analysis, translation, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Translate, transcribe, and analyze foreign language materials for SIGINT purposes.
• Research and synthesize information from diverse sources to produce analytic outputs.
• The role may involve language quality control and mentoring other language analysts.
• Prepare written and oral assessments and briefings for policymakers and customers.
• Comply with security and background investigations and complete required testing.
