This is a full-time Elementary Chinese Immersion Teaching position the 2025-26 School Year atW.B. Simpson Elementary School .

Individuals who are eligible or possess Teacher of K-6 certification are encouraged to apply. Applicants must also be eligible to be certified in Chinese World Language. All candidates must apply on-line. If you are interested in this position, but have not yet met all of the requirements, list your license as “pending.” Preference given to teachers who meet ALL of the requirements for this position.

Applicant must meet State of Delaware certification requirements for Teacher of Primary K-6 and Teacher of Chinese . Successful candidates must provide evidence of successful PRAXISII scores (PRAXIS II: Elementary test #5001, Chinese test # 5665).

Out of State Candidates: An educator applying for a license in the State of DE with less than 1 year of experience will be placed on an Initial License. Applicants withone completed year of experience, but less than 4 years of experience will receive an Initial License.The State of Delaware Department of Education (DOE) may recognize standard certificates from all other states as a means of eligibility.

Bachelors degrees from a foreign university must be translated for equivalency before being accepted by the Delaware Department of Education. Applicants withone completed year of experience, but less than 4 years of experience will receive an Initial License (with proof of current and valid out of state license).

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Individuals must provide official transcripts, if applicable, updated resume, and three (3) letters of recommendation.
  • All persons employed by the Caesar Rodney School District are required to submit a criminal background check and a tuberculosis test.
  • Anyone offered employment is required to provide the following: proper identification (Social Security Card and Driver’s License), documentation of eligibility for employment in the U.S.A., completion of I-9 form, and completion of paperwork for the Delaware Child Protection Registry.
