Job summary

AbbVie seeks a Pharmacovigilance leader to oversee the PV system, ensuring alignment with local and regional regulations across affiliates. You will coordinate ICSR processing, safety reporting, and audits, while guiding CAPA execution and safety governance.

The role requires strong English communication, medical or life-sciences background, and at least two years in pharmacovigilance. Collaboration with medical, regulatory and regional teams will be essential for compliant risk management.

Qualifications

• Medical, pharmacy or life-sciences degree (or equivalent).
• At least two years’ experience working in the pharmaceutical industry in a pharmacovigilance role is required.
• Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills.
• Fluency in written and oral English is essential to facilitate communications with PSEQGPS, Area/Regional.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of the Pharmacovigilance System to ensure compliance with local and regional regulations.
• Maintain oversight of PV activities and performance, including ICSR processing and safety reporting.
• Lead Affiliate PV audits and regulatory inspections and manage CAPA timelines and effectiveness.
• Develop PV training programs and ensure training compliance with corporate and local requirements.
• Monitor safety data and support risk management activities across the product lifecycle.
