Job summary

Total Chimney Care is actively hiring a full-time Chimney Technician in New Haven, CT to maintain and service chimneys and fireplace systems. Successful candidates will engage in hands-on work and provide top-notch customer service.

This role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and cleaning chimneys as well as managing customer relationships. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license, a strong work ethic, and comfort with outdoor conditions. We offer competitive pay and benefits!

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• 2+ years of construction or related hands-on experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customers' homes and provide professional customer service.
• Inspect, diagnose, clean, and maintain chimneys, fireplaces, and dryer vents.
• Repair chimneys and complete some masonry work as needed.
• Install new components accurately, including chase covers.
• Explain service options to customers and recommend appropriate upgrades.

THE CHIMNEY TECHNICIAN WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You must be able to work Monday through Friday, either from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, or 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and meet the following:

• Valid driver's license
• Excellent work ethic, reliability, and commitment to giving your best
• Comfort working at heights and outdoors in various types of weather
• Ability to lift and carry 80+ lbs.
• Ability to work overtime during the peak season as needed
• Ability to serve homes throughout Fairfield and New Haven Counties
• Clear communication skills and a customer service mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction or related hands-on experience
• Sales experience

Our Chimney Technician is responsible for:

• Accurately installing new components, including chase covers
• Explaining service options to customers and recommending additional upgrades/services when appropriate
• Safely working on rooftops, ladders, and elevated surfaces
