Job summary
Dave’s Chimney Service is hiring a Chimney Sweep to join our Methuen, MA team. The role focuses on chimney sweeping, inspections, and supporting the crew in the field.
You’ll work closely with technicians and sales reps, gaining hands-on experience daily. Training is provided, with opportunities to grow into technician or sales roles as you develop.
Qualifications
- Must be comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders.
- Physically capable and able to perform outdoor labor.
- Reliable, punctual and dependable.
- Team-oriented with good communication.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Perform chimney sweeping and basic cleaning.
- Assist with chimney inspections and scanning.
- Set up ladders and access rooftops.
- Help with job site setup and breakdown.
- Organize tools and maintain clean work trucks.
- Follow all safety procedures.
- Assist with additional tasks to support the team.

Full-Time
$20–$23/hour (based on experience)
7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (varies by job) + occasional Saturdays

Dave’s Chimney Service is looking for a reliable and hardworking Chimney Sweep to join our team in Methuen, MA. This role focuses on chimney sweeping, inspections, and supporting the team in the field. You’ll work closely with technicians and sales reps while gaining hands-on experience every day. If you’re motivated, dependable, and willing to learn, this is a great opportunity to get started in the trade.
- Typical hours: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Some days may run earlier or later depending on jobs
- Occasional Saturdays required
- Perform chimney sweeping and basic cleaning
- Assist with chimney inspections and scanning
- Set up ladders and access rooftops
- Help with job site setup and breakdown
- Organize tools and maintain clean work trucks
- Follow all safety procedures
- Assist with additional tasks as needed to support the team and keep jobs running smoothly
- Hourly pay to start (based on experience)
