Job summary

Total Chimney Care in Bridgeport, CT is seeking a hands-on Chimney Repair and Maintenance Tech to join our team for full-time work, focusing on repairs, maintenance, and customer service across Fairfield and New Haven Counties.

You will visit homes, perform repairs (crowns, caps, repointing, masonry), service dryers, diagnose issues, and work safely on roofs. Candidates need 2+ years of hands-on experience and are open to overtime.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• At least 2 years of construction or hands-on work experience are preferred.
• Comfort working at heights and outdoors in varying weather.
• Ability to lift and carry 80+ lbs.
• Willingness to work overtime during peak season.

Responsibilities

• Visiting customers' homes and discussing desired chimney, fireplace, and dryer vent services.
• Perform high-quality hands-on chimney repairs (crowns, caps, repointing, masonry) and installations (including chase covers).
• Clean and service dryer vents.
• Diagnose issues accurately and recommend solutions.
• Safely work on roofs, ladders, and elevated surfaces.

Our Chimney Repair and Maintenance Techs work Monday through Friday, either from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, or 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. When you join us, you'll be responsible for:

• Visiting customers' homes and professionally speaking with them about their desired chimney, fireplace, and dryer vent services
• Completing high-quality, hands-on chimney repairs (crowns, caps, repointing, and masonry) and installations (including chase covers)
• Cleaning and servicing dryer vents
• Accurately diagnosing issues and recommending the appropriate solutions
• Safely working on roofs, ladders, and other elevated surfaces
