A & D Lock And Key Inc in Harford County, MD is seeking a Chimney & Hearth Service Technician. This full-time, hands-on trade role involves diagnosing and repairing gas and pellet stoves, performing chimney and fireplace inspections, rebuilding chimneys, and installing inserts and stone veneer.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical aptitude diagnosing and repairing equipment
• Hands-on construction or trade background
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work at heights

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair gas and pellet stoves (electronics, ignition, venting)
• Perform chimney/fireplace inspections and sweeps
• Rebuild and repair chimneys (tear-downs, crowns, flues)
• Install fireplaces and wood, gas, and pellet inserts
• Install stone veneer on fireplaces, chimneys, and exteriors
• Complete masonry repairs: tuckpointing, brick replacement, dampers, caps, liners
• Troubleshoot fireplaces, stoves, and venting
• Give honest recommendations, write estimates, and deliver strong customer service
• Keep accurate records and follow safety protocols
