Job summary

Smart Family of Cooling Products is seeking a field technician to keep chillers running reliably in outdoor environments. You will perform scheduled maintenance, diagnose issues with diagnostic tools, and repair or replace components to restore full operation.

The role requires knowledge of refrigerants, instrumentation, motors, and VFDs, with safety at the forefront. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or technical training and about three years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Technical school training or apprenticeship preferred.
• Approximately three years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain chiller equipment with scheduled service to prevent downtime.
• Diagnose issues on operational systems using precise testing tools and expertise.
• Repair or replace components to return equipment to specification.
• Install, maintain, and repair industrial refrigeration systems: refrigerant handling, instrumentation, valves, motors, and VFDs.
