Job summary

DTE Energy is seeking a skilled operator to manage the safe and efficient operation of chilled water systems and related equipment at our Cleveland facility. The role emphasizes adherence to SOPs, safety protocols, and accurate record-keeping while supporting maintenance activities.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, basic MS Office skills, and knowledge of LOTO, JHA, and refrigerant handling. On-site work with potential overtime supports critical plant operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• Ability to read/write in English and perform basic math.
• Knowledge of SOPs, JHA, risk assessments and LOTO.
• Experience with refrigerants and refrigerant leaks.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain plant equipment including startup/shutdown of main components.
• Follow SOPs and safety standards in daily tasks.
• Record shift logs, timesheets and work orders accurately.
• Inspect equipment during plant tours and report issues.
• Assist with safety orientations and pre-job briefs.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance under supervision.
• Communicate with on-site personnel and vendors as needed.
