Job summary

DTE Energy in Lansing, MI seeks an experienced Operations & Maintenance professional to operate and maintain energy assets within a central utility complex. You will handle air handling, chilled water, cooling towers, wastewater treatment and related systems under supervisor guidance.

The role requires 4+ years in plant operations, a universal refrigerant license, and strong safety knowledge. This position offers standard shift hours with on-call responsibilities and opportunities to support

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid state driver's license with good driving record.
Universal Refrigerant License is required.
Basic computer skills and MS Office proficiency.
Ability to read/write in English and perform basic math.
Familiar with SOPs, Pre-Job Briefs, JHA, Risk Assessments and LOTO.
4 years' operation and maintenance experience in plant systems.
Knowledge of mechanical/electrical plant equipment and systems.
Experience with CMMS, Cimplicity HMI, PLC controls preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain plant systems and components, including startups/shutdowns.
Follow SOPs and safety standards; act on abnormalities.
Inspect equipment during plant tours and report findings.
Maintain shift logs, records, work orders and timesheets.
Perform plant switching and tagging per procedures.
Conduct mechanical inspections and routine maintenance tasks.
Investigate issues and provide analyses and follow-up plans.
Coordinate safety orientations for contractors/visitors.
