Job Summary

This position will support the Chicago, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa area. Must reside in the Chicago area or be able to relocate to it. The PeopleWorks (HR) Business Partner is a strategic partner to the regional leaders by embedding HR strategy into day-to-day work and providing professional HR guidance and support to internal client groups with the objective of adding value to the business. This role is critical in helping business leaders identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, efficient department structures, and processes, as well as driving key performance behaviors. They will manage and improve all human capital programs, including training and development, to achieve business results, brand strategy, and employee engagement. They will establish well-developed plans for workforce growth and development aligned with brand and Brinker direction.

Your Key Job Functions
  1. Builds and implements long-term HR initiatives aligned with the strategic agenda and proactively identifies new opportunities for HR to improve and add value to the business.
  2. Manage the process for performance management & succession planning by facilitating all talent review meetings for all markets including IL, MN, WI, and IA.
  3. Collaborate with business leaders to provide team members with development opportunities that align with current and future performance standards. Work cross-functionally with broader HR teams to ensure effective HR strategies.
  4. Partner with the regional recruiter to align staffing efforts with restaurant operational needs.
  5. Support change management initiatives and help teams adapt to evolving business priorities.
  6. Facilitate workshops aimed at enhancing team member engagement, retention, and recognition, aligning with development strategies to support business goals.
What You Bring to the Team
  • Must reside in the Chicago area or be able to relocate to it.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; HR certification (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a multi-unit or field-based role within restaurant, retail, or hospitality industries.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and employee relations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders.
  • Proactive, data-driven, and solutions-oriented with strong business acumen.
  • Willingness to travel regionally (up to 30-50%).
  • Experience supporting hourly workforce and high-growth operations.
