Job summary

YMCA of Coastal Georgia, Inc. is seeking a Childwatch Group Leader to oversee care for children from 6 weeks to 12 years, supporting programs like Childwatch, Parents Morning Out, and Parents Night Out.

Qualifications

• Must be able to supervise groups of young children.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain authorization to work with children per Georgia DOL and YMCA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and interact positively with members and their children.
• Ensure safety of children and maintain quality of supplies and equipment.
• Monitor children’s needs both individually and as a group.
• Provide for physical needs: feeding, snacks, diaper changes, restroom assistance, first aid.
• Provide emotional support: calm distressed children and guide behavior.
• Prepare the program area to be safe, clean, organized, and well maintained.
• Accurately record attendance and manage sign-in/out procedures.
