KidStrong Vestavia Hills is hiring for the following position:

• KidStrong Coach (Part-time, 7-15 hrs/week)

What is KidStrong?

KidStrong is Athletic Play—a new kind of activity for children ages 1-11 that builds confidence, character, and family connection through science-based fitness games led by expert coaches.

Our programs, designed by child development experts, aim to improve emotional, mental, and physical skills through weekly 45-minute classes that are fun, developmentally appropriate, and challenging. We incorporate movement and fun into learning, empowering kids to learn more effectively.

Our focus areas include character, physical, and cognitive development, fostering future-ready kids who are confident in social situations, active on the playground, and eager to participate in class.

We help parents discover their child’s superpowers and build future-ready kids who are confident making friends, running the playground, and raising their hand high in the classroom.

Open Role

• Seeking coaches with athletic, coaching, or teaching backgrounds, preferably with experience coaching children aged 15 months to 11 years or pediatric OT/PT experience
• Classes on some weekdays from 9-11 am and evenings from 4 pm to 8 pm
• Weekend classes starting at 9 am through lunchtime
• Flexible scheduling options depending on center needs
• Additional hours available through birthday parties and camps

Job Qualifications

• Passion for working with kids is essential
• Experience coaching children within the relevant age group is preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents about curriculum
• Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics
• CPR certification
• Positive, motivating interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and reliable
