Job summary

EmberHope Youthville is seeking a Children’s Behavioral Interventionist to provide one-on-one trauma-informed support in Therapeutic Family Foster Homes, helping youth heal and stay safely with their families.

You will deliver neuro-developmental activities, emotional regulation coaching, and collaborate with caregivers and the treatment team. Training will include Trauma-Informed Care, Crisis Prevention, and EHR documentation.

Qualifications

  • Experience in child welfare or related field.
  • Ability to work in trauma-informed manner.
  • Willingness to complete required trainings and certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a stable, trauma-informed, supportive environment in Therapeutic Family Foster Homes.
  • Deliver one-on-one neuro-developmental and coping skill activities.
  • Support daily living and emotional regulation in line with the youth's treatment plan.
  • Provide supervision, coaching, and approved intervention strategies as needed.
  • Maintain strong communication with caregivers and the treatment team.
  • Document services promptly in the agency's electronic health record.

Children who experienced trauma need consistent, patient, and compassionate support. The Behavioral Interventionist Program provides that support directly in the home through one-on-one, trauma-informed Care That Helps Children

A Role With Purpose

As a Childrens Behavioral Interventionist, you will work directly in Therapeutic Family Foster Homes (TFFH) providing one-on-one support to youth. You will use trauma-informed strategies, neuro-developmental activities, and consistent, nurturing presence to help them heal, grow, and remain safely in their home setting.

What Youll Do
  • Create and maintain a stable, trauma-informed, supportive environment within Therapeutic Family Foster Homes
  • Deliver one-on-one neuro-developmental and coping skill activities
  • Support daily living and emotional regulation in alignment with the childs treatment plan
  • Provide direct supervision, coaching, direction, and approved intervention strategies at all times
  • Maintain strong, open communication with caregivers
  • Ensure caregivers approve shift activities and adhere to the childs established routines and structure
  • Document services in the agencys electronic health record in a timely manner
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of CBI and TFFH standards
  • Follow all EmberHope Youthville Policies & Procedures, including the Employee Handbook and Clinical Services Handbook

Training & Preparation

No prior behavioral experience is required we train and prepare you thoroughly. Within your first 30 days, you will complete a blend of
