Job summary

Seaside Counseling and Wellness in Mount Pleasant, SC seeks a compassionate Children's Therapist to join our growing team. You will provide individual therapy to children using CBT, play therapy, and trauma-informed approaches, while coordinating with families and schools to support holistic care.

The role emphasizes strong communication, empathy, and cultural competence, with opportunities to increase hours as demand grows in our community-focused practice.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
• Active or eligible licensure in South Carolina (LPC, LCSW, LMFT).
• Experience working therapeutically with children and adolescents.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual therapy sessions to children using evidence-based treatment modalities (CBT, play therapy, trauma-informed care, etc.).
• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, and caregivers to support therapeutic goals at home.
• Coordinate care with schools, pediatricians, and other community providers as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and agency standards.
• Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
