Job summary

A children's care organization is looking for experienced Team Leaders to promote the welfare of children and young people in their care. Qualifications

  • At least two years' experience of working in a children's home setting or equivalent.
  • Full driving license and willingness to obtain business insurance.
  • Ability to work on a rota basis, including overnight and weekend shifts.

We are looking to recruit candidates who have at least two years' experience of working in a children's home setting or similar and who are committed to providing excellent care and support to the children and families that we work with. Successful candidates must have a kind, caring and patient attitude.

Role Summary

This is an exciting role for three experienced Team Leaders to join a company who are in a period of growth.

Responsibilities
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of the children and young people we care for and support.
  • Support the home's management and take the lead on shifts.
  • Work in accordance with Imagine's values as explained in our statement of Purpose.
  • Uphold our good Ofsted rating with an aim of becoming outstanding.
  • Work in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that children and young people we support are treated with respect, dignity, and equality.
  • Lead on and create young people's placement plans and risk assessments.
  • Act as and/or oversee Key worker arrangements for named young people.
  • Act as the lead person for the overall co-ordination of support for children.
  • Ensure that all matters relating to health and safety checks and audits for the house and relevant H&S staff training are complete to a high standard.
  • Promote equality of opportunity, a respect for diversity and anti-oppressive practice.
Requirements
  • At least two years' experience of working in a children's home setting or equivalent.
  • QCF Level 3 in relation to working with children, young people and their families or equivalent.
  • Full driving licence and be willing to obtain business insurance.
  • Ability to work on a rota basis, overnight and weekend shifts essential.
  • Commitment to anti-discriminatory practice.
