Job summary

OnPoint provides outpatient therapy to children and families in Michigan, addressing a broad range of emotional challenges from mild to severe. This role centers on compassionate, trauma-informed care delivered in partnership with families and schools.

You will assess, plan, and provide evidence-based individual, family, and group therapies; document thoroughly; and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support client progress and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology or counseling.
• State of Michigan professional limited license or eligibility.
• One year experience working with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, service planning, and therapy for children (5-17) and their families.

Job description

Provide outpatient therapy to children and families with a wide range of diagnoses and issues, ranging from mild to moderate to severe emotional disturbance.

Essential functions:

• Provide assessment, service planning, and therapy for children (5-17) and their families, according to accreditation, funding, regulatory and best practice standards.
• Develop measurable person-centered plans of service in partnership with children and their families, assuring a trauma-informed and strength-based approach.
• Utilize evidence-based practices in provision of individual, family, and group therapy.
• Document services according to established quality and timeliness standards.
• Participate in utilization management and quality improvement processes.
• Actively engage in supervision and team meetings.
• Coordinate services with schools, healthcare providers and others identified by the child and family.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Range/Benefits Package:

Salary: starting at $63,876.80 up to $88,171.20 annually - placement above minimum salary is based on experience.

• Work Environment – Environments can vary. Primarily work in an office environment or approved remote location, but travel by automobile to other locations within and outside of the County may be required.
• Physical Demands – Generally performs sedentary work but must have the ability to lift up to 35 pounds. Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.

Required education and experience:

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology or counseling from an accredited college or university
• State of Michigan professional limited license or eligibility.
• One year experience working with children and families.

Preferred education and experience:

• Full licensure
• One year’s experience as a master’s level clinician with children and families.
• Public behavioral health system experience.
• Professional experience working with children with severe emotional disturbance.
• Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/ co-occurring disorders/substance use disorders.

Additional eligibility requirements:

Must possess a valid driver’s license, registration and proof of automobile insurance when operating County vehicles or operating personal vehicles in performance of job duties at any time. May provide own transportation for job related use, including transporting of individuals served, to and from meetings and activities at varying work locations throughout Allegan County.
