Graceway Presbyterian Church seeks a Children’s Ministry Pastor to engage families and children, nurturing an environment where they can experience God’s love and trust in Jesus Christ.

The role includes leading CM, reporting to the Director of Education, and supporting Graceway mission, with a focus on curriculum, prayer, and volunteer leadership within a church-centered youth ministry.

Responsibilities

• Commit to pray, love, and support all Graceway children and their parents.
• Strive to build positive, healthy, and affirming relationships with children, parents, and volunteers.
• Communicate with parents in ways that encourage partnership and involvement.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and encourage volunteer leadership in CM.
• Implement the curriculum for the CM children which encourages the students toward a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Lead weekly Sunday CM worship including weekly Sunday preaching.
• Participate in pastoral staff meetings and Session meetings as scheduled, providing ministry updates.
• Support special events such as the Graceway annual retreat, annual VBS and Christmas/Easter presentations and coordinate relevant CM based activities during those church events.

Summary

The role of the Children’s Ministry (CM) Pastor is to engage with the families and children of Graceway Presbyterian Church (“GPC”) by nurturing an environment where the children can experience the love and grace of God and come to place their trust in Jesus Christ.

• Nursery (age 6 months to 2 years old)
• PreK (age 2 through age 4/pre-K)
• Elementary (K through 5th)

In addition to leading the Children’s Ministry, the CM Pastor will be part of the Graceway pastoral staff and will be expected to support the mission and programs of the church.

The CM Pastor will be accountable to the Graceway Session and will report to the Director of Education.
