Community Bible Church (CBC) is seeking a full-time Children’s Ministry Director who aims to launch kids into a lifetime of following Jesus Christ through caring, Christ-centered relationships and teaching. We have a strong children’s ministry, known as CBC Kids, serving children from birth through fifth grade with approximately 250 volunteers. We desire a leader who has a heart for reaching children for Christ, can build and unite current and future staff, and exhibits strong organizational skills. A proven track record of visionary oversight, team building, and equipping is critical. The ideal candidate must be a maturing disciple of Jesus Christ, demonstrating godly character, a servant’s heart, and teamwork. The person should be capable of promoting and managing creative programs that appeal to both churched and unchurched families.

The children’s programs overseen by this position include:

1. Sunday Morning Ministries: Nursery, Preschool, and Elementary programs (150+ children)
2. Wednesday Evening Ministries: (50+ children third through fifth grade) and childcare (5+ children)
3. Annual Backyard Bible Clubs: (kindergarten through third grade)
4. Annual week-long Junior Camp overnight camp: (90+ children third through fifth grade)

Located in Marietta, Pennsylvania, CBC serves Lancaster, York, and Dauphin Counties, with a regional population of approximately 1,000,000. The area is economically stable, growing, and full of young families. We aim to be a place where Loving God, Loving Others, and Reaching Out guide all we do. With a 75-year history, we seek to shape our ministry for future generations while honoring our heritage. The church has a casual atmosphere welcoming everyone.

Preferred but not required qualifications include:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Bible from an accredited Evangelical College or Seminary
• Two or more years of children’s ministry experience or equivalent education in a comparable-sized church
• Training or education in childhood development
