The Children's Licensing and Certification Authority Staff Manager will:

  • Manage the survey and administrative functions for the Santa Fe survey team for certified services and licensed facilities for specific child/adolescent agencies across New Mexico.
How does it get done?

The Children's Licensing and Certification Authority Staff Manager is responsible for:

  • Surveying certified and/or licensed child and adolescent facilities for regulatory compliance;
  • Interviewing clients and staff of provider agencies, evaluating the facility environment to ensure it meets safety and infection control standards as required, reviewing records, and evaluating factors that could affect the health, safety, and welfare of children receiving medically necessary behavioral health services;
  • Developing the survey schedule within state guidelines;
  • Ensuring surveys are completed within necessary time frames, coordinating the investigation of complaints, reviewing the statement for deficiencies, accuracy, and correlation to regulations and defensibility, ensuring completion of survey workload and process, and providing effective supervision to staff.

Licensure in New Mexico as an LISW, LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or LPAT and three (3) years of experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field above licensure requirements and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling three (3) years may substitute for the required experience.
Employment Requirements
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
  • Must obtain a Defensive Driving Certificate.
  • Employment is subject to a pre-employment criminal history background investigation and is conditional pending results.
Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with frequent on-site visits in licensed and certified healthcare facilities, with phone and extensive computer usage. Some sitting, standing, walking, bending reaching and lifting up to twenty (20) pounds may be required. Frequent in-state travel with overnight stays, is required.
