Job Summary

Children’s HealthWatch (CHW) is a multi-site study that assesses how public policies and economic insecurity affect the health and development of very young children. CHW helps policymakers and the public better understand the social and economic factors that affect children’s health so they can make well-informed policy decisions that give all children equal opportunities for healthy, successful lives. The Philadelphia site is led by faculty at the Dornsife School of Public Health at Drexel University and data collection occurs in association with St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children.

The foundation and strength of CHW is ongoing data collection in the form of in-depth interviews with caregivers of very young children. Interviews cover a wide variety of health and social factors, participation in government benefit programs, and more. Beginning in 2005 and thru March 2020, interviews were conducted in the St. Chris ED with caregivers of children waiting to be seen. In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, data collection shifted to being collected by phone.

We are seeking an individual to conduct interviews by phone for 10-19 hrs per week. Hours are flexible. Interviews are conducted verbally and take approximately 30 minutes.
