Job description

Hourly Pay Range:

$20.88 - $31.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Children's Group Exercise Instructor
  • Location: Seven Bridges Fitness Center - Woodridge, IL
  • Per Diem: Hours are determined by department needs
  • Hours: Monday - Thursday, 4pm - 8pm; Saturday, 9am - 12pm

What you will do:

  • Under minimal supervision, prepares and leads all levels of exercise classes designed to improve cardiovascular endurance, develop and improve muscle tone, and enhance the ability to perform activities of daily living. This includes designing class routines, selecting appropriate music, instructing participants in proper form and techniques, and modifying class intensity and routines to meet the needs of healthy and/or special population participants.
  • Set up and clean up of the studio and equipment used in classes is required.

What you will need:

  • Education: A minimum of 2 years of high school education or higher is required.
  • Certification: Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross is required within 90 days of employment.
  • Aquatic Instructors must obtain ACE or AEA certification within the first 6 months of employment.
  • Aerobics Instructors must obtain ACE certification, AFAA, or a nationally recognized certification within the first 6 months of employment.
  • Special Population Instructors must obtain certification from a nationally recognized accrediting body acknowledged by EHFC or complete an in-house training program within the first 5 months of employment.
