Lifesteps is hiring two, part-time Early Intervention Screeners to assess and evaluate children and infants as they grow and develop.

Lifesteps is a local, human services organization, based in Butler, which has been serving Western Pennsylvania for over 100 years by “helping individuals and families with life's changing needs”. The Agency provides programs and services to help those with special needs live to their fullest potential.

Position Summary

The Early Intervention Developmental Screener is responsible for scheduling, administering, scoring and interpreting developmental screenings for children ages birth to 5 years old.

This position is also responsible for sharing the results of the screening to the parents in a professional, non-threatening manner and providing parents with information on developmentally appropriate activities and child development.

Part-time positions work out of the Butler Office from Wednesday through Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. No Weekends, No Evenings. No Holidays.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, Family Studies, Psychology or a related Human Service field
  • OR -- High School Diploma with a CDA Certificate
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Current driver’s license and the ability to travel for business with personal vehicle

Preferred

  • Experience with Children, such as: Child Development Assessment experience, prior work as a Teacher Aide, childcare staff, daycare employee, AGS, etc
