Job summary

Morrison Center in Brewer, Maine is hiring a Children’s Care Coordinator to join a dynamic team. You will work directly with children who have developmental disabilities, manage a caseload of 25–30, and document care per regulatory standards.

The role includes home visits, school observations, and collaboration with families at IEP and medical appointments. This position emphasizes community liaison, direct service, and detailed record-keeping in a supportive nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience in related field.
• Experience working with children’s services or social services preferred.
• Ability to work in person and engage families effectively.

Responsibilities

• Serve children with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and manage a caseload of 25–30 clients.
• Conduct monthly home visits and school observations.
• Attend and support families at IEP meetings, team meetings, and medical appointments.
• Document in accordance with regulatory agencies and represent Morrison Center in the community.
• Coordinate with other agencies to support client goals and ensure ongoing care.

Care Coordinators assist individuals and their families to identify strategies that will enable them to meet their goals.

Requirements of the Children’s Case Manager:

• Bachelor’s degree
• One preferred year experience in Children's Services or two years in social services
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, preferred
• Ability to work in person

Responsibilities of the Children’s Case Manager:

• Working with children who have intellectual and/or developmental disability
• Managing a case load of 25 - 30 clients
• Working with children as young as 6 months – 20 years old.
• Documentation in accordance with regulatory agencies
• Case Manager must represent Morrison Center in the community and act as a liaison with other agencies.
• Perform monthly home visits, school observation
• Support families at IEP meetings, team meetings and medical appointments
• Complete 90 day continued stay reviews with the family
