Position Summary

Cool Spring Baptist Church seeks a part-time Children’s Associate to support the spiritual and developmental growth of elementary‑aged children. This role partners with the Children’s Minister to foster safe, engaging, and Christ‑centered environments through weekly programming, volunteer leadership, and family support.

Responsibilities

Children’s Programming

• Assist in planning and leading Sunday morning and Wednesday evening programs
• Support summer programming and special events
• Recruit, support, and encourage volunteers
• Participate in team meetings and leadership development
• Assist with family ministry opportunities

Administration

• Coordinate curriculum and supplies
• Support ministry planning and execution
• Help implement ministry policies and procedures

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Degree in Elementary Education (preferred)
• Experience in Children’s Ministry (preferred)

• Strong understanding of child development
• Leadership, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships
