Job summary

Cardinal McCloskey Community Services in New York City seeks a Children and Family Behavioral Therapist to deliver community-based behavioral health services in homes, schools, and other natural settings. You will assess, plan, and deliver individual and family therapy, crisis intervention, and work with families and partners to improve outcomes for children.

Responsibilities

• Provide collateral sessions to both Biological and Foster families as needed.
• Participate in clinical case conferences, treatment team meetings, and multidisciplinary discussions for children and families assigned to their caseload
• Make appropriate referrals as deemed necessary
• Maintain and update Progress notes using Electronic Health Record.
• Meet with interdisciplinary team to review treatment, case monitoring, and discharge planning, pursuant to sound professional practice and to federal, state and city guidelines
• Participate in clinical supervision with the Clinical Supervisor.

CMCS is seeking for a Children and Family Behavioral Therapist to provide community-based behavioral health services in homes, schools, and other natural settings throughout New York City. In this rewarding role, you will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, provide individual and family therapy, deliver crisis intervention, and collaborate with families and community partners to support positive outcomes for children.

Responsibilities:

• Provide collateral sessions to both Biological and Foster families as needed.
• Participate in clinical case conferences, treatment team meetings, and multidisciplinary discussions for children and families assigned to their caseload

Requirements:

• Current New York State licensure as a LMHC, LMFT, LCSW, Licensed Psychologist, or Licensed Psychoanalyst, or an LMSW working under the supervision of an LCSW.
• Strong knowledge base on children's mental health, behavior, complex trauma, foster care preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children and families with behavioral health concerns.
• Flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends as needed.
• Bilingual Spanish a plus.
